A Tour to the Mesmerising City of Elche from Alicante

The city which is famous for its footwear shops is the capital of the region of Bajo Vinalopó and is made up of about 228,647 inhabitants.

The city is famous for its World Heritage Palm Groove where you can see orchards containing thousands of date palms and plants of many other species. The Basilica of Saint Mary is another must-visit heritage site, where the annual lyrical drama or the Mystery Play is organized. Also, if you want to get the most intimate details of this place you can head to the Monographic Museum and Archaeological Site at Alcúdia where the city’s Iberian and Roman artefact is displayed.
